The Dauphine, located in and the French Alps, is considered by many of the teams vital preparation for the Tour de France. The organisers often ‘test’ tour stages and the teams get the chance to ride ‘en-route’.
With the crowds absent, riding the course, spectating, and getting around, are all accomplished with ease.
